Our
Mission:
Rock City Church Academy is a Christian learning institution,
committed to providing students with a Biblically
based education. This education will enable them
to mature in their relationship with the Lord,
their parents, their peers, and their community.
It will teach them to strive for honesty, obedience,
and excellence in all life’s disciplines;
so they can be “A Light in Today’s
Darkness.” |
Rock City Church Academy was established in 1983 and for thirteen
years was a vital part of educating hundreds of young
people. At that time the school was open for kindergarten
through the twelfth grades. We were only open to our
church members, and had nearly 200 students. Many of
those students graduated from RCCA and today are outstanding
men and women in our community. In June of 1996, we
closed the doors to our school for a few brief years,
but re-opened them in September of 2000, for Kindergarten.
In the fall of 2001 we added the first grade, and will
continue adding classes through the fifth grade. We
believe in giving young people a firm foundation on
which to build their lives, and we believe that an education
at Rock City Church Academy will provide that foundation.

Rock City Church Academy is an interdenominational, independent
educational institution, incorporated as a non-profit
organization under the laws of the State of Maryland.
The school does not discriminate on the basis of race,
ethnic, or national origin. RCCA believes that the school
is an extension of both home and church in its objective
to train up children “in the way they should go.”
For this reason, we invite parents to communicate often
with teachers and staff.
Application
Fee (non refundable) - $ 25.00
Registration Fee - $125.00
Tuition for K -5th - $3500.00
(prices indicated are per child)
Discount: There is a 10% discount for
tithing members of a church (with a letter from the
Pastor). OR (but not including) There is a 5% discount
for each additional child enrolled, after the first
child.
Admission:
We are currently accepting students for K - 5th grades
for the 2005-2006 school year. Upon receipt of your
application, an interview will be scheduled. The admissions
process is designed to ensure a student’s readiness
and potential for having a successful and rewarding
experience at RCCA, and to confirm compatibility in Christian
values, philosophy, and essential beliefs between parents
and the school so that a strong partnership is forged
between the
Christian home and the school.

Class size is 10 - 15 children.
• Kindergartners must be 5 years by 9/30/05 (in
compliance with Baltimore County policy)
• The school begins Tuesday following Labor Day
• Uniforms are required.
Instruction
is given in a traditional classroom setting for grades
K-5. The primary grades place emphasis
on the basic skills of spelling, phonics, math concepts,
and reading. Textbooks used include those produced by
well-known Christian publishers, as well as reputable
secular materials such as Saxon Math. In addition to
our academic curriculum, we have a well-rounded program
offering music, art, PE, computer, field trips, and
much more.
