Rock City Church has steadfastly pursued the purposes of God within the community. The Nehemiah House, a homeless shelter for men, has touched thousands of lives and helped restore these men back to society. The Hiding Place, a shelter for women in crisis pregnancy, has seen hundreds of girls' lives touched and more than 250 babies saved from the grip of abortion. Adopt-A-Block is ensuring that our city will be won to Jesus, block by block.

Our food program, "A Can Can Make a Difference," is declaring war on hunger as we are actively feeding hungry people throughout the state of Maryland. For years we have been reaching out to those within our city who are hurting and in need. We "take the ones that nobody wants," and God turns them into the ones that everybody is after, because they in turn become people who reach out to help people. It's the "DNA" of Rock City Church - compassion! And it's the heart of Jesus, "to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, visit those in prison..."
