Nehemiah House, Inc.
Nehemiah House is the only facility in Baltimore County, MD, dedicated to aiding adult homeless men. Our facility has 33 emergency and 18 transitional beds, as well as many programs to aid the adult homeless male. We have been in operation since January 1991.
At Nehemiah House we try to identify and address the problem that caused homelessness in the resident. To avoid being a "revolving door" type program, our help is aimed at giving willing men the tools necessary to bring an end to their situation. Upon completion of the program, assistance is given to the resident as he is getting established back into society.

We partner with the local Veteran’s Hospital at Perry Point and Baltimore City to assist Homeless veteran’s with various emergency shelter needs, along with giving them the opportunity to access VA and mainstream resources. A social worker from the VA is assigned to these clients.
The Substance Abuse Unit
This 10 bed unit, sponsored in part by HUD, assists in connecting homeless men interested in seeking help and developing a program to confront their addictions. Clients are involved in Intensive Outpatient Programs, Life skills Training, and becoming employed.
