Isaiah 45:3 "I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel."
The Hebrew term for 'treasures of darkness' comes from a word which means 'a depository, an armory, a treasure house'. God has given us weapons to destroy the works of our enemy, Satan. He has given us prayer, praise and giving, and the Word of God covers them all! The Bible tells us that the 'prayer of the righteous avails much'. "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretention that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:4,5 NIV)
Malachi 3:11, "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field."
As the people tithed and gave their offerings to God, He defeated their enemies. If they weren't, God was defeating them!

Expansion - The New Dining Hall is Finished
Rock City Church just expanded! We added a 2-story, 10,000 s.f., addition to our building to accommodate a dining facility. The new dining hall hosts church banquets, functions, and our extremely popular Holy Ghost Café. The main dining room (2nd floor) seats approximately 200 people with spectacular views of the valley below the church. Expansion room is available on the 1st floor, which will also double as extra classroom space for children’s church, youth functions, and our Bible school. Both floors house kitchen space with a main commercial kitchen on the 2nd floor and kitchen prep space on the 1st floor. Construction is now complete. We dedicated the building on January 7, 2011 with the help of some friends from the local business community, elected officials, and of course our church family. The food and fun are so good you just have to come join us! You can still contribute to the project by clicking on the “Give On-Line” link above, or, you can call the Church Office at 410-882-2217 to find out how you can be a part.
